Jonah Lomu

Jonah Lomu is arguably the best rugby player to ever play. At 6’5” and weighing in at a staggering 275 pounds, he was a force to be reckoned with. The attribute that propelled Lomu was his speed. Being as big as he was he inherently had strength but when he burst onto the international scene, at only 19 years old and fresh out of high school, the 1995 world cup was not ready for his speed. He ended up scoring 4 tries in the world cup semi-final game against England. Generally speaking the position of the wing is given to a fast player to run up the side line and score tries. Jonah was the size of a truck and still had the speed of a wing. The video above is a tribute to the great New Zealand.
